Gyrotonic was conceived by Juliu Horvath using the key principles of gymnastics, swimming, ballet, and yoga through which major muscle groups are worked in an integrated manner. Gyrotonic exercises offer complete freedom of movement. WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Exercises are performed on the Professional Pulley Tower, adjustable for varying body types and levels of strength. With the body continuously supported by the equipment, in lying, sitting or standing positions, the client moves through a series of rhythmical, low impact exercises. The motion patterns are natural, turbulence free and pure with no interruption creating a bridge between contraction and extension through the rotating movement of the joints, resulting in a balanced support system for skeleton.
Through uniform and permanent resistence meaning through all the changes of directions and as well within the pivot axis, the concentric and eccentric forces exerted by the involved muscle groups are maximized and evenly distributed between agonist and antagonist (muscle groups).
